At Scott, there's a reason for doing what we do. We call it the Scott Difference. We see it every day at work, preach it to anyone within earshot and feel it in our flyrods every time we fish.

This mantra which we call the Scott Difference is embedded throughout our workshop and crammed underneath our fingernails at the end of each day. We perform this act of faith and worship towards detail because we know it eventually makes its way upstream to our dealers, and ultimately to you.

And even though you'll hear us talk about the Scott Difference we actually can't take all the dredit. It's a way of doing things that began with Harry Wilson when he started Scott back in 1974, and has been evolving in the hands of anyone who had made, sold, or fished Scott rods ever since. We see it as a 28-year old heritage-in-process that doesn't sit around the workbench talking about how good the fishing used to be.

And when it's all said and done, we are rod makers and our goal is simple: To handcraft the ultimate fishing tool.

If our customers and firends can't see and feel what they're paying for, then we don't charge for it. The Scott difference is tangible, and we can point to it in every rod. The long list starts with hand fit internal ferrules, individual flex rating, custom graphite, and hand turned Portuguese cork grips, then keeps on going.

Like we said, it's all about a way of doing things, and it's all about how good the fishin's going to be.
